I should tell you though, that the $40,000 reduction was not about symbolism, it was about the fact that several of us really do think it's a waste of money at this point in time. And no, I am not the "Young Republican" who proposed the cut. I am, however, one of the other "Young Republicans" with whom you have a reasonably cordial relationship. Insight on comics and science fiction, my favorite baseball team, and the town where I work! I have two students whose parents sit on the RTM, and neither was able to give me any information on the meeting (although, based on the time it ended, I'm not surprised). And now I find out that your daughter is a Colonial! That's my alma mater, too! Thanks for the political update! I always look forward to reading your blog. We usually get only about 20% turnout of registered voters for these races, and I have a feeling that due to the rain it’ll be even less.
