Sort of off-the-subject - i was struck by the concept of a one-hour commute being a "long drive". Here in the Atlanta area, a one-hour commute is just barely on the high end of "normal" or "average". If i want to visit my mother or brother, it's 125-plus miles (Gainesville GA to Milner GA) ... and that's to someone who lives in the same local-telephone-service area i do. It's half an hour or more to the nearest comic shop (in Buford). I hope that bill passes, and i hope similar legislation at State or national level affecting people in other states gets introdced and passed, too.
